3/4" X BWG16 X 20FT TP316/316L Seamless Stainless Steel Tube SA213 Standard Annealed & Pickled
Alloy 316/316L is molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel. The higher nickel and molybdenum content in this grade allows it to demonstrate better overall corrosion resistant properties than 304, especially with regard to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments. In addition, Alloy 316/ 316L provides excellent elevated temperature tensile, creep and stress-rupture strengths, as well as outstanding formability and weldability. 316L is the lower carbon version of 316 and is immune from sensitization; therefore, it is very frequently used in heavy gauge welded components.
Specifications: UNS S31600 / S31603
After 304, Type 316 the most common stainless steel on the market. Again it is an austenitic grade with the addition of 2-3% molybdenum which further improves corrosion resistance. It is often referred to as a marine grade stainless steel because of its effective resistance to chloride corrosion in comparison to other stainless steel grades.
We can meet most ASME, ASTM, and other specifications, and can cross-reference to most international standards, including full 3.1/3.2 Certifcation and NACE requirements. In order to guarantee these standards, we are certified in accordance with the strict guidelines of ISO 9001:2008.
Product Range
316 & 316L steel plate and pipes have common properties and are often stocked with Dual Certification, where it is determined that both have properties and composition which comply with both steel types.
Type 316H is excluded from this scenario by virtue of the fact that unlike 316 & 316L, 316H is engineered to work in elevated working temperatures.
